STEP 3 - ADMISSION TESTING
- K4–4th Grade: Students entering K4–4th grade are assessed for admission by TGS faculty. The admission office will call to schedule an appointment for the assessment.
- 5th–12th Grade: Students applying for fifth grade and above must take the Independent School Entrance Examination. The test can be taken at Geneva, at home, Prometrics, or another school that hosts the test. A student may choose when and where to do the testing based on the family’s availability. Geneva is a “closed” test site, meaning only applicants applying to Geneva are allowed to test at our school. If you wish to have your student take the test at Geneva, please contact the school for an invitation code, then register online. The cost for the ISEE varies from $160 to $250 and is paid directly to ISEE at the time of registration. You must register at least three weeks before the test date in order to avoid late fees.
- Geneva ISEE Test Dates: December 14, January 11, January 21, February 8, February 18, March 8, March 25, April 12, May 3
STEP 4 - INTERVIEW
The admission office will contact you to schedule a parent interview with an administrator. Students applying for grades 5–12 will also meet with an administrator.
ADMISSION DECISION AND ENROLLMENT
Applicants who submit an application, including records and references, by the 15th of each month will receive an admission decision by the 15th of the following month. An applicant may be admitted, denied, or placed in a wait pool. Admission decisions are at the sole discretion of The Geneva School. Applicants are chosen from the wait pool as space in a grade becomes available.
Once accepted, a student will have one week to enroll.

You can check the status of your application by logging in to your FACTS account. This is the account you set up when you did your application.
Wait Pool: If your child meets our admission requirements but we do not have space in the grade, your child will be placed in a wait pool. The school will select applicants as space becomes available.
