STEPS TO APPLY (Domestic Students)

STEP 1 - SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

The application for the 2025–2026 school year opens on November 1, 2024. We are still accepting applications for the current 2024–2025 school year in some grades. Contact the admission office for more information on grade availability. The application includes a cooperation agreement and an acknowledgement that you do not object to your child(ren) being taught according to the school’s Statement of Faith. A non-refundable application fee is due at the time of submission.

Application Deadlines

  • January 15 – round 1 deadline
  • February 15 – round 2 deadline
  • March 15 – round 3 deadline

Click the “Apply Now” button above to submit an application.

STEP 2 - RECORDS/REFERENCE FORMS

As a part of the online application process, you will be prompted to print out the following forms that should be submitted to your child’s current school:

  • Request for Copies of Records Form (Grades 1–12, at least two years report cards and test scores if applicable)
  • Administrator Reference Form (Grades 2–12)

The date on which you submit all of the above items will be noted on your application but will not necessarily be considered as a factor in admission.

STEP 3 - ADMISSION TESTING

  • K4–4th Grade: Students entering K4–4th grade are assessed for admission by TGS faculty. The admission office will call to schedule an appointment for the assessment.
  • 5th–12th Grade: Students applying for fifth grade and above must take the Independent School Entrance Examination. The test can be taken at Geneva, at home, Prometrics, or another school that hosts the test. A student may choose when and where to do the testing based on the family’s availability. Geneva is a “closed” test site, meaning only applicants applying to Geneva are allowed to test at our school. If you wish to have your student take the test at Geneva, please contact the school for an invitation code, then register online. The cost for the ISEE varies from $160 to $250 and is paid directly to ISEE at the time of registration. You must register at least three weeks before the test date in order to avoid late fees.
  • Geneva ISEE Test Dates: December 14, January 11, January 21, February 8, February 18, March 8, March 25, April 12, May 3

STEP 4 - INTERVIEW

The admission office will contact you to schedule a parent interview with an administrator. Students applying for grades 5–12 will also meet with an administrator.

ADMISSION DECISION AND ENROLLMENT

Applicants who submit an application, including records and references, by the 15th of each month will receive an admission decision by the 15th of the following month. An applicant may be admitted, denied, or placed in a wait pool. Admission decisions are at the sole discretion of The Geneva School. Applicants are chosen from the wait pool as space in a grade becomes available.

Once accepted, a student will have one week to enroll.

Check the Status of Your Application

You can check the status of your application by logging in to your FACTS account. This is the account you set up when you did your application.

Wait Pool: If your child meets our admission requirements but we do not have space in the grade, your child will be placed in a wait pool. The school will select applicants as space becomes available.

The Geneva School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic programs, or other school-administered or school-sanctioned programs or activities.
